BOWERS AFFILIATE COUNCILS The following Bowers Affiliate Councils provide a unique and enriching experience designed to encourage patrons to become involved with our Museum Community. All Council members are also Bowers Museum members. For information on membership to the museum and opportunities to join the affiliate councils please call (714) 567-3679.
AFRICAN CULTURAL ARTS COUNCIL
Promotes awareness of African arts, history and culture and encourages community interest by planning several annual festivals and events at the Bowers Museum.
BEADS SOCIETY OF ORANGE COUNTY
BSOC provides the community with educational resources in regards to the artistic, historical, and intercultural signifi cance of beads and plans regular meetings and annual events at the Bowers Museum.
THE BELLS
Serve as ambassadors of goodwill by volunteering at the information desk and at social and fund-raising functions held by the Bowers Museum.
CHINESE CULTURAL ARTS COUNCIL
Promotes Chinese Cultural Arts in the community through lectures and activities in conjunction with the Bowers Museum.
COLLECTORS` COUNCIL
Provides experiences in art collecting and art connoisseurship. Members enjoy tours of private collections and galleries, as well as travel opportunities and special parties.
DOCENT GUILD
Members provide tours of museum exhibitions, make presentations to the community, hold regular meetings and programs, and plan fi eld trips to museums and historical sites. http://www.bowersdocentguild.org
