ART FOR YOUNG MINDS Art is a powerful teaching vehicle that touches students` hearts and minds in ways that books alone can`t do. To help teachers use the power of art in their curriculum activities, the Bowers has developed three types of student tours:
SELF-GUIDED TOURS OF SPECIAL EXHIBITIONS
Special exhibition audio-guide tours are available for grades 2-12. Tour enhancements, such as art-making workshops and dramatic performances, are also available.

DOCENT-LED TOURS OF THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
A wide selection of docent-led student tours are available for grades PreK-12. A docent is a volunteer museum-guide, trained to enhance the educational experience of visitors.

TEACHER-LED TOURS OF THE PERMANENT COLLECTION
Teachers are welcome to lead their students through the galleries. Consider using the Center for Creative Teaching`s new program, Museum 101, to prepare your own tours.
